Going Away BBQ for Lucas

80's Night
Sep 29
Bring a friend as you step back in time to the 80’s. Pizza, prizes, costume party, vintage video games, (appropriate) 80’s music and amazing leaders. This is Lucas’ last event with our students, it would be cool to have a great turn out, and party like it’s 1999 (an 80’s reference). The student with the best 80’s costume wins a special prize!!!

The Urban Plunge deadline has been extended till next Sunday (Aug. 9th). Nothing is more important than serving those around us and sharing Christ with those who don’t have hope. Please join us as we engage culture, model Christ-likeness and experience things we choose to ignore.

Going Public Mini-Update
Jul 29
Just sent this email to our church staff:
Have a little bit of downtime in my office at the moment….the trip’s going well. Students are doing good. We jumped into our first performance last night and our ministry teams this morning. We’ve got probably about 15 or so kids involved in our program at Path of Life’s King Hall and about 7 teenagers there as well in our teen program. Pray for our evangelism team tomorrow morning as they hit the streets with some care packages for Riverside’s homeless.
Just finished Day 1….we’ve spent most of the day in a retreat to get our hearts ready for the trip.
Our speaker, Matt Bach, has done a great job. This morning he shared about what it means to live an undivided life. Then tonight he continued that theme by talking about what it means to live with a singular focus…in the same way the Apostle Paul did.
We also spent some time planning for Orangecrest Community Church’s carnival on Friday night, rehearsing the choir and drama teams, and time relaxing in the Kozloffs’ pool.
No pictures to post yet, but I’ll try to get some up tomorrow.
